You probably have lots of questions. Just This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Sugarfoot with those questions in case they are not answered below:
Question: Does shoeing a horse cause any pain to the horse? Answer: Not if it is done correctly, but it can cause issues if performed improperly.
Question: Why is corrective shoeing important? Answer: How would you like to live on your feet 24/7, and have no possibility of removing ill-fitting, improproperly installed steel shoes? This is your horse's world, so we need to make sure that all angles, camfors, lengths, thicknesses, nail angles and heights are considererd each time we provide services for our horse clients.
Question: Can improperly installed shoes cause pain in other areas besides the feet? Answer: Absolutely, unbalanced hooves routinely contribute to back pain and soreness for your horse. Ligament and other soft tissue damage can occur as well, with some of it becoming permanent if not arrested in time.
Question: How often will my horse require farrier services? Answer: Based on the average growth of equine hoof tissue, hoof maintenance will be needed every 5 to 6 weeks. Of course, if you notice any shoe, hoof, or posture issues before then, just call Sugarfoot and we will schedule a visit and evaluate the problem. Don't let known problems with your horse's hoof health linger...they could cause permanent damage.
Question: How much does it cost for your services? Answer: Each horse client receives it's own evaluation. We evaluate the horse's ability to withstand farrier service by performing safety checks with your horse, and we evaluate and diagnose each horse's needs based on a multi-point inspection process. We may be able to provide services on the first visit, but many times our evaluations give us information that may require further analysis and consultation. In these cases, a follow-up visit, with the proper materials to address your horse's individual needs, may be required.

By the way, this little guy gets his service for half-price!!
